Job Description

Responsible for the Quality Engineering Product Support group for  Medication Delivery/Access business unit. Provides strategic direction, ensures compliance to regulations and Quality Systems, and guidance for design changes to existing products.

  • Manage the activities and interfaces of the Quality Engineering department with responsibility for results in terms of product quality, performance and safety.
  • Implement Quality Systems procedures and manage compliance in Access business unit.
  • Develop effective working relationships with functional groups and customers.
  • Lead Quality Initiatives and identify and manage continuous improvement projects with the objective of achieving quality, reliability and cost improvements.
  • Develop Quality Engineering function capable of providing guidance and tools for problem solving using appropriate tools (Six Sigma, SPC, DMAIC).
  • Identify, implement, and report Quality Metrics for area of responsibility.
  • Develop budget for department and ensure adherence to the budget.
  • Responsible for the coaching, training, development, and performance of subordinates.

 

Job Requirements

  • Demonstrated success at consistently achieving business and quality objectives.

BS in science or engineering, MBA helpful. 7+ years experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering or related field which should include 1-2 years of supervisory experience. Some practical engineering experience is a must.
