DIRECTOR OF QUALITY CONTROL

 

We are a rapidly growing company specializing in the field of multiplexed biological measurements, providing cost effective and valuable information for drug discovery, high throughput screening and proteomics research to scientists in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, government and academic research organizations. We develop, manufactures and market cutting edge instruments and assay kits based on its proprietary electrochemiluminescence detection technology.

 

Position Summary:

 Responsible for direction and management of all Quality Control activities for the company including instrument and consumables for incoming, in process and final release testing.  Responsible for development and maintenance of Quality Control departments to a standard that ensures the quality of products and materials produced by our company.

 

Responsible for staying current with all applicable FDA regulations and guidelines (and those of other regulatory agencies in jurisdictions in which the Company manufacturers or distributes its products), and ensuring that all regulations are met by maintaining the quality control processes and procedures to applicable standards.

 

Requirements:

 Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related science degree required

§         Minimum of 10 years of work experience in Quality Control for FDA regulated employer(s), with a thorough understanding of Quality Control requirements for medical devices

§         Thorough understanding of Quality tools and application of statistics for sampling and specification setting and support.

§         Experience running a Quality Control organization at the plant level required

§         Must have strong analytical, verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem solving skills.

§         Requires strong computer skills, Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Power Point and Word).
